This is a very interesting discussion.  I find that sometimes it is quite
useful to have a camera that has computerized functions.  Someone pointed out
the other day that the M6 has an IC (which is a small computer).  

In general I do prefer to do it myself, but this depends on the situation.
There have even been times that I have found use for my Canon's eye controlled
auto-focus selector with an image stabilization lens mounted.  (taking photos
of mountain goats jumping around)  Eye controlled focus selector and image
stabilization lens - that for me is the (presently) ultimate in computer
assistance for taking a photograph. 

As far as pleasure goes, I must admit that using an M6 is more satisfying and
enjoyable.  (If those damn goats would just come on up to me and pose.)
