Yes, Martin pointed me to the tables in the back of the Leica Pocket Book,
and 1959 it is indeed. As Erwin Puts points out on his (Dutch) M3 page,
there are not many other products that old that are not total anachronisms
or outright unusable today. The M3 is one of the exceptions.
