Subject: [Leica] Trying to keep a low profile.

I recently acquired a very nice IIIf/50mm Summitar that looks like it just
came out of the box. I intend to use it as a "pocket", point and
shoot/street camera because I expected that it would go unnoticed by most
people and it is very compact.

I went to the mall at lunch today with the IIIf on a strap around my neck
and no less than 4 people stopped me and asked me what kind of camera it was
commenting that ". . . it sure looked nice", "how old is it", etc.

I was really surprised by this. I can walk around all day with one of my M
cameras and I have never had anyone ask about it.

What has been the experience of this group? I'm curious.
