I don't think it's all THAT much different, but the 75 has a wonderful
quality. I compared it to my 70-180 2.8, and the 75 definitely doesn't have
that "edge" the zoom (which at 100mm is quite like the 100 Apo Macro) has.
It's a heck of a sharp lens, but wide open, the depth of field is very nice
for portraits.
