Robert,

Thanks for posting your photos.  I hope this will inspire more of us will 
be able to share our photos in this way.  

In viewing the selenium-toned photo, I feel like an observer.  The 
sepia-toned print draws me in.  The warmer tone is more in keeping with 
the mood of the subject--the firelight, the cigar.  It's hard to say 
which is "best."  You, the artist, have to decide what you want to convey 
in this photo.  In painting the coolness and warmth of colors is crucial, 
and this is even more so with a monotone photograph.

I love my Noctilux for the very qualities your photos convey, and, dare I 
say it, the "bokeh" it produces as a foil to the subject.
