The spectacles can be removed only when focussed at infinity, and removing the
spectacles locks the lens at infinity.  This is done because the rangefinder is not
accurate except at infinity.

I do use my Summaron 35/3.5 and Summicron 35/2.0, both with the spectacles, with my
M3 and M6.
