The 1998 Zeiss Historica Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday,
24th October 1998, at the main US Zeiss plant in Thornwood, New York. The
programme includes a talk by Dr Beez on "Unique Instruments in the Optical
Museum at Jena", Larry Gubas on Zeiss personalities, noted authority
Charles Barringer on "The Contax System", and Zeiss movies from the '20's
and the '90's.

The public is invited. Registration opens at 9 AM, though interlopers are
warned that they will be dunned to join ZHS! The day will conclude with a
pay-your-own-way dinner at 7:00 pm at some local bistro, the site TBA.

The company is a congenial crowd who share an interest in Zeiss and Zeiss
gear. Photography is always a main thrust, but side interests include
sport optics, microscopy, and optical oddities.

I can provide further information, so those interested may wish to contact
me off-line for directions!
