Subject: Re: [Leica] M6 21 ASP OR HASSELBLAD 503cm with ?? (undecided)

A chunk of the guys on the LUG own used Leica gear. The same philosophy
works well with the Hasselblad. A clean 500CM body can now be had for
under $400, a 12 back for under $125, and a 2.8/80 C T* Planar for $500, a
total investment of $1,025. Throw in a Ukrainian meter-prism for another
C-note, and you're looking at $1125 to $1250 for the totality.

Admittedly, a Rolleiflex 2.8F type 1 or 2 can be had in similar condition
for half of this, and can be converted to take 220 for $200 or so.

But, you no more have to buy Hasselblad or Rolleiflex new than you do
Leica. Used gear abounds.
