Howard -

Lucky you!!  You will have wonderful photographic opportunities.  I spent
February in Russia one year and it wasn't unbearably cold.  The Leicas will
be fine.  Keep your feet and head warm and take some flexible glove liners.

When I was at the Moscow airport, the security people were willing to
hand-examine my film.  I had it all in tupperware or ziplock plastic for
easy viewing, but they took every single roll out (over 400 rolls) and
examined each roll individually.  Be sure to allow plenty of time!!  They
were polite but throrough.  Have fun!!
