Subject: [Leica] M6 in Cold Weather

Hi Luggers,

I'm a newbie to the M system and for the short 2 wks, 50+ rolls of experiences
with my M6...I love it!!! Due to my day job, I will be spending next 2 months
in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novasibrisk, and other rural towns in
Siberia), I will be travelling with M6, F5 ,500CX and 400 rolls of films. My
questions and concerns are:
	1) At sub zero temp., I imagine the metal body around the viewfinder will be
fairly cold when I press camera against my face for framing and focusing.
I've taped my F5 and Hassy with bandage tapes while climbing and camping above
12,000 feet at around -10 degree F in the past. I was wondering if anyone has
any suggestion or experiences to share with.
	2) (Off Topic) I've read some horror stories about films going throung old
Russian X-ray machines at the airport. Does anyone has any esperiences with
travelling with films in/out of Moscow airport?

Any help will be deeply appreicated and thanks in advance,

Howard
