Subject: [Leica] Early Summitar

Hi All
     I just acquired an early (1941) Summitar f 2/50mm. I noticed the
diaphragm blades produce a circular opening instead of the later hexagonal
opening? Does this have any effect on the out of focus areas of the picture.
As this lens is uncoated will I see a lot more flare than the coated model?
I shoot B&W so the color saturation is not a problem. Thanks for your help.
Bill
