The HOYA Super-Multi-Coated filters have *six* coats on *each* side. 
Light transmission is said to be nearly total (well over 99%).  I've seen
these filters under a collimeter and they are *flat* as well.  If anyone
is of a mind to keep a UV filter permanently on their Leica lens, this
might be the one to use.  The bad news: it's not available in less than
49mm.
