Ain't worried about the damn scratches, 'cause I shoot 'em anyway, but after hearing about the underwear, I'd have to get a discount so I could buy some Lysol :) BTW, Lighter fluid first (screw ROR) -- or carburetor cleaner!! Learned this trick from a genuine Pentax Jap friend. Gets the oil off. Then follow with (cloudy) ammonia... Clean flannel sheet scrap or well laundered cloth diaper. Worked in a camera repair shop and the ol' Kraut I worked for wouldn't allow a piece of lens paper in the joint....This was Stumpf Photo Optical, Houston, Tx. -- Karl Stumpf -- The most known, respected, crotchety, ornery ol' bastard in the free world. AND the best (leica, rollei, nikon F/F2/SP etc.) repairman in the south 20 years ago..........I'm proud to say that I learned 10% of what he knew, and I was a damn good repairman until the A1/F3/X700 put ALL of us out of business (by choice).
