I ran into snow so I got plenty of God's diffusion in my shots. I coordinated my visit so that I could be at the premier of Tom Kachadurian's new book "Views from the Sleeping Bear". It is a great book with many Leica and Mamiya 6 shots. The Sleeping Bear is the name of a National Park in Mi. I have photographed there for years but Tom managed to find some great views I could never find, repo good, color excellent. His image management showed off his years as a stock and editorial photographer. His plea several weeks ago to have some one meet him at his book signing because he would be lonely proved groundless. He had a steady stream of people to see him ( or take advantage of the free coffee and snacks). Overall job well done.(ISBN 1-886947-37-6). A great secondary surprise in Traverse City was a display of Kertez and Michael Kenna prints (Views of Paris). wow what a find. Tom is on the road for most of the month and mentioned that he didn't have time to keep up with the Lug but I'm sure we all wish him the best.
