I use and love my R system as well, but it's not as different from other camera lines in terms of ergonomics, size, silence and accuracy in focusing high speed wide angle lenses as the M6 is. As for optics, or other functions for which an SLR is the best choice, then there the Leica R stands as a wonderful system that gives the best optics available, and a handling characteristic that is second to none.
