B.D.,

A friend and former UPI photographer..Michael Pugh in Atlanta, has on his
wall an Olympus 50mm lens...

The lens was "toasted" during a shuttle launch. The lens was mounted on a
remote camera and somehow the LOX when vented hit the lens...don't
remember the full story, but the camera and lens were etched BER (beyond
economical repair) by the gasses. The other UPI photogs got the lens
mounted on a placque with a metal plate ect and gave it to him as a
momento. He has it on the wall of his home office.
