Hi LUGgers in Singapore

There is a very nice monochrome photo exhibition on shots of Paris taken in
the era spanning from the end of last century to the early 1970s. Names
like HCB and Marc Riboud are on the list of credits.

Exhibition is at Alliance Francaise, 1 Sarkies Road. opens 10am - 5pm,
except sundays. Till 28th Jan.

One can see that the lenses and styles of composition have changed over the
century. The older lenses had centre sharpness, edge distortion,
vignetting, you name them all. The ones in the 50s had the Golden Years
look. Unfortunately, there were no pictures taken during the WW2 years
exhibited - where have all the photographers gone?
