Well, first thing I had to do when I got my first Leica (IIIf & summar) was to
make a lens hood. Cut the top 10mm from a Tmax canister, sand down the rim a
little and it plugs right into the front of a summar.....Need a soft
release...go into the toilet and unscrew one of the little round-headed screw
head
covers from the mirror screws, threads right into a standard cable socket....
I also have large collection of pill bottle caps which will fit just about
any lenshood. And my back to back lens holder which is just two back caps and a
blob of Araldite.
