Dave - I am not a repair person and don't even play on on TV BUT.....
a month ago I was out with my M6 and 90/2.8 and while sitting thru
a recital waiting for my progeny to play I noticed that the 90 was loose =
in the=20
mount - not forwards and backwards but in the same plane as the lens is =
secured
to the body. I had just gotten the lens and I thought - Oh no now I =
have to return this gem of a lens and do without. I got home and =
noticed that the first metal flange on the lens side was loose in 4 out =
of the 5 screws. I took a jewlers screw driver and tightened them up =
and voila' problem gone. Before sending it back you might look at this =
possibility. I bought the lens from Sam Shoshan and Sam would without a =
doubt have made it good as I am sure Tamarkin would but I hate to spend =
the time and effort sending things around if I can solve the problem ( =
or live with it). =20
