This is most interesting.  The conventional Jobo wisdom has been to 
keep developing times at a minimum of 5 minutes to assure even 
development.  

I too have reduced developing time for Tri-X in Xtol 1:1 to 5 min 45 
secs at 68 deg F after the 5 min presoak to keep things undr control.
