Subject: Re: [Leica] Do not like 75mm framelines

Bill,

Are you guessing with the 50mm frame on the M3? The 90mm frame is very very
close to 75mm and you can activate the 90mm frame on the M3 using tape on the
preview lever, or do what I do and wrap a rubber band around the lens and extend
to the lever (secured with tape) to pull it back. I think the 75mm frame, if you
can call it that, on the M6 is very annoying and I prefer to use the 90mm frame.
Take out your M6 and flip between 75mm and 90mm, and you will see there is really
not that much difference. When using the 75 Summilux on the M6 with 50/75 frame
lines I too many times in the heat of shooting frame my subject beyond the 75mm
parameter. The 90mm solution works for me. I wish there is a way for my 75
Summilux to automatically activate the 90mm frame.
