Subject: [Leica] photo/travel Galopagos Islands -- anyone been?

Bordering on off-topic, but I do plan to bring M gear.
Please respond off-list.

For years I've wanted to visit the Galopagos Islands off South America,
primarily to photograph the landscape and animal life. I'm finally
seriously starting to research this trip (if it ever takes place). I'd
like to avoid cruise ships and guided tours, instead relying on myself
to get around the islands, take as much time as I want photographing a
particular subject, etc. I'm not sure if this is even possible, legal,
etc.

Have any LUGgers traveled to these islands before? Any suggestions on
planning this trip from a photo-centric point of view would be helpful.
Gear would probably be an M body with 3 lenses, and an SLR with a long
lens, and a tripod. I'm really more concerned with the logistics of
getting to and around the islands -- gear can come later.

Any suggestions are welcome. Please email.
