Thanks for the tip.  It came off as you said it would.  Just one more
question.  My new lens reads #ummilux--some white paint apparently
splashed over the 's' in the word summilux.  Any way to safely remove
the excess?  Should I just leave it alone?  I don't mean to be picky,
but it is a brand new lens.
