Welcome to the LUG and thanks for your reading suggestions. This is a wonderful
forum, even if at times people get worked up over pressure plates, UV filters,
red dots etc. It is by far the most helpful, civilized and fun mailing list I
have ever participated in.

I agree with your assessment of the Hurn and Jay book. The other ones you
mention also sound interesting. I posted a lengthy message about books and
magazines some time ago. If you have not yet discovered the following magazines,
you should check them out:

- - Camera Arts
- - Photo Techniques (the U.S. version, not the U.K. mag with the same name)
- - Lenswork Quarterly

I think you will enjoy all three.
