Ever since I started doing B&W in the mid-80s, the last step in processing film has been a 30-second bath in Photo Flo (without agitation). I have never noticed any build-up on my plastic reels, even after several years of use. My Jobo manual warns against bathing the reels in wetting agents, claiming that a build-up will result and that this cannot be removed. Instead, it recommends bathing the film in wetting agents only after taking it off the reel and in a separate tank. This sounds very inconvenient and I have so far ignored this advice. However, mine is a low-volume operation, perhaps one roll a week. I would like to hear from those of you (like Tina) that have processed hundreds or thousands of rolls in their Jobo's. What do you do as far as wetting agents? Thanks!
