Hmmm...
A UV filter could be a good, transparent lens cap replacement for those who
have not developed the natural reflex for removing the lens cap and are too
lazy to work on it. Rangefinder users must develop this reflex. Folks who have
lived with SLRs all their lives get the "reminder" from looking through the
finder and seeing darkness. A UV filter as lens cap might even be cheaper than
an official Leica lens cap ;>).
