My Summicron 50/2.0 also has a built-in lens hood and the clip-on 12538
and 12585 hoods won't fit. However, I have been using a 12549 (silver
chrome) hood from my Elmar 50/2.8 (current version) and it works
perfectly. The Elmar hood is a 39mm srew-in type. A less expensive
alternative is to get a 39->46mm step-up ring and use a generic 46mm
metal lens hood. The whole combo will cost around $15.
