My vote would go to the SL if you do not need those fancy doodad features of the R. No MLU though. An excellent condition SL can be aquired at a much lower cost than the RE or even the R4. The SL is a bargain considering it is a mechanical camera (the lasting value), IMO, it is a good alternative to the R6 (or R6.2) as well. Gerald Hsu
