 LUG-
I just got the Quality Paperback Book of the month- The book "The Endurance"
about Shackleton's 1915 Antarctic expedition, with lot of photos from the
groups diarist, Frank Hurley. It looks like authoress Caroline Alexander has
a winner here. I 've just glanced through the book, but some of the photos
look like they were on glass plates ( and we complain about the travails of
loading reels and figuring development time!), and just thinking about the
problems the photographer might had had to deal with, makes the books title
all the more apropos! I thought I'd share this immediate impression because
it looks like a really good read, and the illustrations are amazing.
And the postman also brought my 'new' Ikonta B... Excuse me folks, I'm gonna
be busy the rest of this rainy day! :o}~
