Were the frames in a series or separated by an equal # of frames? 
Were they at the beginning or end of the roll?
Were they all on the same roll of film?

If the answers to any of these questions is "yes", coupled with what you've 
already said, I would start to suspect the fogging could have happened at the 
photofinisher.
