Subject: [Leica] Lens hood for a 90 Elmarit

A while ago some kind soul suggested the GG-3 lens hood from the
Contax G lineup as a suitable screw-in hood for the 90/2.8 Elmarit-M.

I ordered one sight unseen and picked it up today.  It is silver
(black is not available), so I got a can of flat black enamel spray
paint and skooshed the outside of it.

It works perfectly.  It's deeper than the Elmarit's built-in hood,
which means better physical and optical protection but more intrusion
in the viewfinder - though still not enough to be a problem.

I am a happy man tonight - no more front lens caps for me!
