Subject: Re: [Leica] New LTM Leica lenses ?? Is this a joke.

The LTM 'modern" Leica lenses do exist. Solms has made a small series for a
Japanese store. It is the 35/2 Asph, the 50/2 and the 50/1,4, all in chrome
only. The price I was quoted was 'approximately 20% over bayonet mount
lenses." It is an interesting move by Leica and it will probably be the first
time since the 90/4 Rokkor Leica will be making lenses that are meant to be
used on other manufacturers cameras (Bessa-L, Yashihara).
It should make for a smooth combination with the coming Bessa L Rangefinder
camera, now you can get 1/125 flash synch speed, 1/2000 top speed and a built
in meter in a LTM camera AND use a 35/2 Asph too. Maybe some LUGger in Tokyo
can check with Lemon Camera as to export availability and prices?
