Subject: [Leica] Kobalux 21/2.8, 28/.35 for LTM's

LTM'ers,

What with all the Ricoh, Cosina/Voigtlander Konica etc new LTM lenses, I
wonder if we've forgotten the Kobalux lenses.

Anyone using the Kobalux lenses out there? Opinions, advice, etc. I've
checked out Cameraquest's site - nice pics and spec info, kind of muddy on
the performance aspect.

The 21+v/f looks like it would significantly block the r/f window on any LTM
body except possibly the swansong IIIG. Not that you really need R/F
coupling for most situations with a 21, but I'd be intererested to here from
any users. If you don't use the shade, how badly does it flare?

the 28/3.5 looks cute, and given the modest aperture, I'm guessing it does
relatively well, again experienced users comments would be very useful.

Typically I shoot tri-x (often rated at 800) with clean Elmars, Summarons,
and Summitars on these smaller bodies, so my printed image standards are not
up to 21/24/35 ASPH for this work.

thanks

Guido
