 In re your Stainless Steel lens mount, it would astonish you to know that
there are so many 'types' of stainless steel, that it is nothing short of
mind boggling! Alas, some is so soft that the phosphor bronze used in lenses
of yore is harder, and some, like the type 316 used in knives, is about as
tough as most of the high carbon cutlery steel out there.

Keep us informed about what you learn- it would seem so unlike Leica to use
an alloy that would defrom so easily!
