Subject: [Leica] Archiving question

I've got a problem and would appreciate any help from fellow LUGers as to a
possible solution.

I am presently going through ten years of poorly filed negatives and
wondering what the best way to file and retrieve photographs would be via a
computer program. What I am going to do is tag them and physically file them
chronologically. What I want to do is come up with a system to retrieve
photos easily, preferrably with a small search engine. Is there such a
program good for this? For instance: I have photographed the rock band Sonic
Youth on seven occasions over the past 11 years, and so far have kept all
those negative sleeves bunched together. If filed chronologically, this
would separate them and make retrieval difficult. What I would like to do is
type in "Sonic Youth" and have the archive info come back at me quickly, and
it would be nice to put in all my printing info (exposure times, filters,
chemistry, etc.) in the file as well. Hope this makes sense.
