Well, if Maxwell had marketed his stuff better, there wouldn't be any 
question now, would there? And from what I understand, there's a 
manufacturer in Germany - Wetzlar in fact - who makes an even better loupe.

And what's the price of the Maxwell? I paid $99 for my Schneider. And for 
judging slides, I don't need the best, if it's better than I need, just 
something good enough. :-) I don't sit around admiring my photos via my 
loupe. I just use it to judge the image.
