I guessed, based on the fact that resolution discussions are largely rendered
moot in most cases by various technical factors, which I can enumerate if you
feel you must know.

I was looking at a book of Associated Press photos a few days ago, and they were
all excellent.  And none of them came anywhere near the theoretical resolution
limits of either lenses or film--indeed, most had no more resolution than you'd
get from a simple point-and-shoot.
