No flame, Bill...Only the comment that you didn't say whether these photos
were being taken with strong backlighting, or other flare, coma, etc.
producing conditions, that will show up with both "pro" and "drug store"
processing. If they were - or are - to be taken under trying conditions, you
certainly will see the difference.

Which, by the way, is not to suggest that one couldn't take some damn fine
photos with the less expensive lenses...
