Thanks to those of you who made suggestions about cleaning chrome - I found 
that a plastic pencil eraser worked well to bring up the chrome and make 
bright-marks less noticeable - well worth doing if want to get the best out 
of your gear when you are selling or exchanging it.  Whatever your attitude 
to how the gear that you use looks, would anybody actually pay more for 
ugly gear?
