Hello Everyone,
Got back from the NY Photo Expo a little while ago. Saw some
interesting new gear but not as much as last year. Will report in more
detail in due course.
Had a long and interesting chat with the folks from Leica: Messers
Horn (President, Leica USA), Strauch (VP, Marketing & Sales, Leica
Solms) and Hagenauer (Communications & PR, Leica Solms). Met several
fellow LUGers. Once again Saw several M's, LTM's a CLE, but no R's.
Hmmmm......
Now for the $ 1000 + (US) question. How many of you would be seriously
interested in buying a 90 mm 2,8 Elmarit - M (current optical formula)
in a LTM fitting ? The 35 & 50 are already available, but no 90. Please
think VERY CAREFULLY before replying. No silly one liners please.
To preempt an obvious question, the 90 APO Summicron is not likely to
be made available in LTM.
