I would rather deal with heavy glass lenses which will NOT scratch rather than cheap-ass plastic lenses which I will scratch the first time I lay them down. The weight is worth it -- and I don't have to worry about my Leicas scratching them, either! My optometrist, on my last visit, told me about this spectacular new, non-scratch plastic. Handed me a sample, and some steel wool, and challenged me to test it myself. I must be unduly harsh on plastic lenses: I immediately scratched it to hell. My optometrist retired six months later. I liked him: I hope I wasn't the cause! Marc msmall@roanoke.infi.net FAX: +540/343-7315 Cha robh bas fir gun ghras fir!
