Now, that does make some sense, though I still would be nervous over the
strength of the glue and of the rear cover's plastic.  But, then, I use my
couplers to connect long lenses, which I am awash in.  (I do have an old
1.4/35 Summilux which lives with its own cap, and a 4.5/21 Zeiss Biogon
converted to M, which lives in its keeper.)
