If it offered advantages I would welcome it.  You see, I like change.  Hence
the reason I use an EOS system instead of an R, or the reason I prefer AF
over MF in 35mm SLRs.  But I plan on keeping my M3, although there are
times.....

I for one am pleased that Nikon never changed their mount. I continue to use

an old F2 camera and just recently sold my F. How would you feel if Leica 
suddenly decided to change the M mount?
