Julian,
I believe there are 4 pre-ASPH versions and the 3rd version is Canadian and
is just as good as the German manufacture.

Can anyone help me with a difficult identification? There is a 35mm
non-ASPH Summicron on eBay, which seems to match Stephen Gandy's description
of the latest non-ASPH, escept for one feature. According to Stephen's
description, the front should either be inscribed LEITZ LENS MADE IN CANADA
or LEICA. The one pictured on eBay says LEITZ. Could this be another
variant of the latest non-ASPH?

Thanks for any help.........Julian
