You > hand over an enormous wad of cash for something that looks like nothing, Enormous wad of cash? Domkes are dead cheap -- especially in a world which contains Billinghams. The 802, to which I've been addicted for lo these many years, is $US60 at B&H (admittedly more than the $45 I think I paid for my first one), and the 803 is $78. Or does some sort of horrific markup happen on the way across the Atlantic? H'mm, I wonder if it works the other way around -- the Billingham Hadley is $160 here. How much in the UK? (For reference, today's Wall Street Journal puts the Pound at about $1.61. Or are people actually using that funny Euro thing? It's almost exactly the same as the US Dollar.) -Jeff Moore <jbm@oven.com>
