Question ladies & gentleman.

Am I reading several of the posts correctly in that some fined the "topic
of underwear" as a cleaing material for your Leica glass of no use as a
Leica topic?"

Recently I've noticed "degrogatory negative" comments or leaning in that
direction, that "underwear cleaning cloth" is of no interest in regard as a
Leica subject and merely useless information. On the contrary, it's very
much on topic as we all clean lenses at some time, so why not learn a
method that is economical, easy on the lens surface and replaceable at no
cost?

Back ground for those who find it merely a "nonsense space waste" topic and
would prefer to know how many screws holds the lens in place.

The underwear cleaning cloth was derived from 40 years experience of buying
and discarding expensive cleaning clothes to clean my Leica glass, it was
offered in good faith to a question posted, "How do people safely clean
their lenses and with what material?"

I offered a safe method developed over 40 years of using Leica gear and
keeping the lenses clean with an economically "free best cleaning cloth"
one can use.

It isn't some "frivilous nonsense" as someone pointed out. Which would you
rather use, an expensive "compound impregnated cloth of questionable
value?" or a free piece of very soft cloth you've been preparing for
sometime?

I realize and accept it has been a "fun topic" for several years as it
should be, however some have taken the advice seriously, "a safe way to
clean valuable Leica lenses!" I mean if it's soft and easy on your butt why
wouldn't it be so for your lens?:)

So to you who think this is wasted information, so be it, that's your
problem, but you might take heed in 40 years of testing/using that it works
extremely well....plus it's free! And on topic.
