Dear friends,

1. recently acquired the sekonic508 as recommended highly for its spot
meter function. however i'm still having a tough time getting reasonable
readings from the 1-4degree spot reading. For iso100 on sunny day, the
incident reading will say f16. On the sunlit subject, a vivid
jewel-toned fabric of various colours (no neon or white) the spot
reading will say f2 or between f2-f2.8 at most. Is it possible that the
reading difference is such when using incident versus spot? since i have
never used the 508 or any other spot meter before, i am at a lost
despite the manual's instructions. Can anyone shed some guidelines or
light on this matter? Appreciate it.

2. i dont see this in the manual, but someone suggested using the 508's
reflective function for normal coverage like the M6's internal meter's
coverage. How do I set this on the 508?

please email to my address rkmiller001@earthlink.net

thanks in advance,
