But Herr Cohn wouldn't recall that and therefore might ignore the reasoning.
I suspect that the Leica outposts, such as Leica UK at Milton Keynes, would be outside the conversations where such a merger might occur.

The word when I was visiting Leica UK is that there is no way that Leica 
would ever tie up with a Japanese company based on their past experience of 
being stitched up by them etc.
