Dave -

If you have a slide copier, you can just copy the negatives on B&W negative 
film (a negative of a negative is a positive); however, if you have done 
any darkroom manipulation - dodging, burning, etc - you will probably want 
to photograph the actual print.  I use a copy stand (and my Leica R6.2 with 
60 Macro) with blue lights to get neutral black and white on color 
transparency film.  If you want a warm, sepia look, you can just use 
regular tungsten bulbs with color transparency film.
