A certain retro elegance which belies the excellent functionality. I don't think anyone took the camera seriously (which makes it even *more* fun to use). Obviously not the case when I was using the F3! And police power and civil liberty issues aside, I intuitively took the most suggested option in the situation... I kissed the cop's ass from the get-go! Seemed like the prudent approach at the time. We ended up with him telling me that the good folks of Fitchburg actually *did* become more friendly later in the morning (although I didn't hang around to find out)! Oh yes. You are correct, I was not using a flash. Not that I never use a flash with my M3. I even had Sherry Krauter change out the flash sync to the modern connection just so when I wanted to use flash, it wouldn't be a hassle. But when I am in my Street Mode <vbg>, the flash stays at home.
